Abstract
The objective of the special track is to exchange research results and ideas on Context in Psychology of Perception and Sensory Evaluation.
This workshop on Psychology and Sensory Evaluation, would invite researchers and practitioners to share insights and cutting-edge results bringing together the psychologist’ and sensory analysts’ point of view regarding the impact of context in perception. Here, ‘‘context’’ may refer to any extrinsic influence on perception or behaviour and define conditions that make a situation unique. All kinds of contextual effects are concerned: social or cultural environment, location/occasion, repeated exposure, scaling anchor type, physiological state, mood, information regarding brand name, nutritional fact, ethic allegation … Any aspect of context that potentially plays a crucial role for sensory evaluation studies will be welcome.
All branches of psychology are concerned (social, cognitive, child, clinic, intercultural psychology, neuroscience, etc.) and every sense (odours, sounds, taste, texture, vision, etc.) can be involved.
