**** SECOND CALL FOR WORKSHOP *****
*********************************
EXTENDED DEADLINE - october 5th, 2004
The Fifth International and Interdisciplinary Conference on Modeling and Using Context (CONTEXT'05) will provide a forum for presenting and discussing high-quality research and applications on context. The conference will include workshops, poster session, demonstration session and a doctoral consortium. Workshops will be held one day prior to the conference (July 5, 2005).
The goal of the workshops is to provide a valuable opportunity for small communities of people with diverse perspectives and in various disciplines to engage in rich and deep discussions about a topic of common interest related to the notion of context.
As for the conference, the workshops would invite researchers and practitioners to share insights and cutting-edge results from a wide range of disciplines including:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Cognitive Science
- Computer Science
- Linguistics
- Organizational Sciences
- Philosophy
- Psychology
- Ubiquitous Computing
- Application areas such as Medicine and Law
However, the goal of the workshops is to focus on the impact of context in one discipline.
Review Criteria
Workshop proposals will be reviewed and selected by the main committees of CONTEXT-05. Review criteria include the workshop's potential for generating stimulating discussions and useful results; the expected community interest level in the topic; the organizers' ability to demonstrate through the proposal that the workshop will be well organized; the overall balance of topics in the Workshops program; and the fit with the conference theme.
